The classic Victor Erice movie Spirit of the Beehive, is one of my all time favorites. It’s a glimpse into the moody world of a child living in an isolated time. I picture this bedroom, as inspired in a modern way by the movie. After just finishing a fino sherry, one might sit in bed and read a gothic or thriller novel. At the very least, one would contemplate the passing of time, and all that has transpired during the day.
